Set up
For the best experience, use Cowork. Basic FactIQ questions also work in Claude Chat, but advanced reports and local visualizations work best in Cowork. On a Claude Team plan, any member can install FactIQ as a custom plugin. If your organization approves plugins centrally, or installation is blocked, switch to the Organization tab for the admin-managed install.

Organization-managed installs sync from your private copy of the repo, which does not track ours automatically. To pick up plugin updates, pull from defog-ai/factiq-plugin and push to your mirror (or re-upload the ZIP for manual marketplaces).
Try it
Ask an economic or financial question normally — Claude selects the FactIQ skill automatically. Type /factiq to choose it explicitly.
- Across Nvidia’s latest four covered earnings calls, how did management’s data-center demand commentary change? Check coverage first, identify the exact fiscal periods, and search each quarter separately using “data center demand,” “accelerated computing,” “AI infrastructure,” and company-native alternatives. Return verbatim quotes with speaker/role, section, call date, fiscal period, and citations; list missing quarters and cap hits.
- Compare what Microsoft management said about AI infrastructure spending in covered earnings calls with executive media from the same period. Use verbatim quotes for earnings; keep FactIQ media paraphrases unquoted with person/role, title/channel, publication date, and timestamped links. Independently verify a media source before quoting it. Separate evidence from inference and identify coverage gaps.
- What's the US unemployment rate, charted over the last 10 years?

Troubleshooting
- Plugins or Cowork are unavailable
- Plugins require a paid plan. On Team and Enterprise, ask an Owner or Primary Owner to turn on Cowork under
Organization settings → Capabilities, then turn onCode execution and file creationandSkillsunderOrganization settings → Skills. If custom plugin installation is still restricted, the Owner can install FactIQ for the whole organization — see the Organization tab under Set up. The FactIQ plugin is open source; review its source code on GitHub. - Marketplace does not appear
- Confirm the repository is exactly
defog-ai/factiq-plugin. Organization policy can block custom plugin sources. - Marketplace is installed but the plugin does not appear
- For organization marketplaces, the FactIQ plugin's installation preference may be set to
Not available, which hides it from members even though the marketplace shows as installed. An Owner can change it toAvailable for installorInstalled by defaultunderOrganization settings → Plugins. Members see the change on their next session. - Organization marketplace fails to sync from GitHub
- Confirm your copy of the repo is private (a fork of our public repo stays public — duplicate it instead, as shown in the Organization tab under Set up) and that the Claude GitHub App has been granted access to it. If GitHub configuration remains a blocker, bypass it entirely: download the plugin as a ZIP file and upload it as a manual marketplace under
Organization settings → Plugins. - OAuth gets stuck
- Sign in to FactIQ in the same browser, then re-run
Connect. You can also remove and re-add the connector from Claude settings. - Tools missing in chat
- Start a fresh conversation after installation. Type
/factiqto select FactIQ explicitly, or open Connectors in the composer and confirm FactIQ is enabled. - Claude Code is separate
- Plugins installed in Claude don't appear in Claude Code — it has its own install path. See the Claude Code guide.
