Set up

One install in the desktop app covers all app surfaces, including Codex.

Open Plugins
In the ChatGPT desktop app, click Plugins in the left sidebar.

Add the FactIQ marketplace
Open the Create dropdown, choose Add marketplace, and paste the repository as the source (leave the other fields empty):

Install FactIQ
Find FactIQ in the custom marketplace you added and click Install.

Sign in and start a new chat
Complete the FactIQ sign-in when your browser opens, then start a new chat.

Plugin support depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu	Supported. On Business, Enterprise, and Edu a workspace admin or owner may need to enable developer mode or approve the plugin.
Free, Go, Plus	Not yet supported — custom plugins like FactIQ aren’t available on these plans.

Ask an economic or financial question normally, or type @FactIQ to select it explicitly.

For Nvidia’s latest covered earnings call, identify the most decision-relevant management claims and Q&A pressure points. For claims, return verbatim quotes with speaker/role, section, call date, fiscal period, and citations. For pressure points, label the returned quote as a composite analyst-ask/management-response excerpt and include the analyst firm when available, specific ask, response quality, any refused number, call date, fiscal period, and citation; do not infer unavailable speaker names or roles. Report coverage gaps and cap hits.
Test Walmart management’s consumer trade-down claims against US retail sales, CPI, real earnings, and consumer-credit data. Separate source evidence from inference and say what would falsify the conclusion.
Chart US unemployment and labor-force participation since 2000. State the series IDs, frequency, seasonal adjustment, observation range, and sources.

No Plugins in the sidebar: Plugins live in the ChatGPT desktop app — not web, mobile, or the IDE extension. Update the app if you don’t see the Plugins item.
FactIQ marketplace missing: Confirm the repository is exactly defog-ai/factiq-plugin, then look for the factiq marketplace with your custom plugins. Restart the app if it doesn't appear. Directory changes can take up to six hours to refresh on Codex — restart Codex or refresh the plugin data before retrying.
OAuth gets stuck: Sign in to FactIQ in the same browser, then retry. You can also remove the plugin and add it again.
Tools missing in chat: Bundled skills load in new conversations after installation. Start a fresh chat and type @FactIQ to select it explicitly.
