Indian price indices and wage data including Consumer Price Index (CPI), Wholesale Price Index (WPI), food price inflation, rural and urban wage rates, and commodity-wise price trends. CPI COVERAGE: the NSO/MoSPI Consumer Price Index for Rural, Urban and Combined sectors, at all-India level (base 2024=100; index and year-over-year inflation by division and group) and state-wise including an ALL INDIA row (bases 2010=100, 2012=100 and 2024=100 kept as separate series - never splice them); plus the Labour Bureau CPI for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) and CPI for Agricultural and Rural Labourers (CPI-AL/RL), each base period its own series. Monthly values are dated on the last day of the month (2025-03-31 = March 2025); compare with other sources on date_trunc('month', time). The MoSPI dataset mospi_cpi (schema mospi) carries the same NSO/MoSPI CPI with more item detail and the base-year linking rules; not every MoSPI item has an equivalent here, and a missing equivalent must not block an answer. The two sources are refreshed independently, so neither is always newer. When an equivalent series exists in both, resolve the exact series you selected in each source and read its most recent non-null observation (WHERE series_id = '<id>' AND value IS NOT NULL ORDER BY time DESC LIMIT 1) before you present a value as the latest. Compare only equivalent series - same item, sector, geography, base year and measure - and never swap in a different sector, geography or base year to obtain a newer month.
