NSS 78th round: Multiple Indicator Survey (2020-21)

Survey tables from the National Sample Survey 78th round, the Multiple Indicator Survey (MOSPI Report on Multiple Indicator Survey, 2020-21, NSS Report No. 589). One survey round, not a time series: each table is stored as rows in tabular_data, one series per table and state (series id mospi-nss78:<table code>:<state>, for example mospi-nss78:6:all_india), covering all India and each state and union territory. Tables (the access to latrine table is not served by the MOSPI API and is not stored): exclusive access to an improved latrine, improved latrine and hand washing facilities within the household; access to an improved source of drinking water and improved source within the household; usage of a mobile phone; access to mass media and broadband; availability of basic transport and public facilities; household assets; possession of an air conditioner and an air cooler; sources of finance for the purchase or construction of a new house; migration (usual place of residence different from the current place, main reason for leaving the last usual place of residence, main reason for migration, income change due to migration). Each row gives the table's own columns (sector, gender, age group, sub-indicator, internet access, source of finance, reason for migration) and the value as printed by MOSPI; values are percentages, except the 'Average number' rows of the air conditioner and air cooler table, whose rows carry a unit column; each series states its unit, and the sub-indicator name states the measure. A cell printed as - (sample size 0) has no row. A value printed 0.0* is stored as 0.0 with value_mark '*': MOSPI rounded it to 0.0 although a few sample households had the item. Query with SQL on tabular_data.row_data, for example row_data->>'sub_indicator'.

In SQL, this dataset is the rows of mospi.series with dataset_code = 'mospi_nss78'.
