NSS 77th round: agricultural households and land and livestock holdings in rural India (2018-19)

Survey tables from the National Sample Survey 77th round (Situation Assessment of Agricultural Households, and Land and Livestock Holdings of Households in Rural India), one survey round for the agricultural year 2018-19, asked in two visits (visit 1: July-December 2018, visit 2: January-June 2019). Not a time series: each table is stored as rows in tabular_data, one series per table and state (series id mospi-nss77:<table code>:<state>, for example mospi-nss77:24:all_india), covering all India, each state, the group of north-eastern states and the group of union territories. Tables: estimated number of households by size class of land possessed and by social group; households by household classification; operational holdings; average monthly income, expenses and receipts per agricultural household (crop production, farming of animals, non-farm business, productive assets); distribution of loan outstanding by source of loan; ownership holdings, leasing-in and leasing-out of land and terms of lease; livestock owned; crop sales by agency of disposal and satisfaction with the sale; use of farming resources and purchased seed by quality; awareness of the minimum support price (MSP); crop insurance and crop loss for selected crops. Each row gives the table's own columns (season or visit, size class of land possessed, social group, crop, category) and the value as printed by MOSPI, in the unit the report prints (per 1000 households, rupees per month, hectares or per cent, as the table title or the row label says). Counts of households are in hundreds, as NSS Report No. 587 prints them (unit "Number of households (in hundreds)"): in tables 16 and 17, and in the rows of table 18 whose household_employment is "Number of Households"; for example 930935 for agricultural households in visit 1 is 93,093,500 households. Values are stored as printed, not multiplied. The API labels the all-India rows of tables 21, 22 and 23 "Chandigarh"; they are stored as All India, as the report's all-India tables show. A cell that MOSPI leaves blank, marks with X, or fills with a column number such as (2) has no row. Query with SQL on tabular_data.row_data, for example row_data->>'land_possessed_hectares'.

In SQL, this dataset is the rows of mospi.series with dataset_code = 'mospi_nss77'.
