US quarterly employment, hires, separations, job creation and earnings by state, industry and demographics (LEHD QWI)

Quarterly Workforce Indicators from the Census Bureau's LEHD program: beginning- and end-of-quarter employment, full-quarter (stable) employment, hires, separations, hires and separations of stable jobs, firm job gains and losses (job creation and destruction), net job flows, turnover, and average monthly earnings for new hires, stable jobs and separations, plus the matching rates. Every value is a full tabulation of state unemployment-insurance wage records for private employers (ownership code A05), so there is no sampling error; missing quarters are suppressed for disclosure protection and must not be interpolated. Geography: United States (sum of reporting states), all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico; states join the series in different years (California 1991, Texas 1995, New York 2000, DC 2005, Puerto Rico 2010; Alaska stops in 2016). Industry: all private industries and every NAICS sector (2-digit). Demographics: sex by age group, sex by education (age 25+), race by ethnicity. National series also by firm age and firm size. Series ids: qwi.<indicator>_<geo>_<naics>_<demographic>[_<firm>], for example qwi.emp_us_00_s0aa00 (national beginning-of-quarter employment, all workers), qwi.hira_ca_51_s0aa00 (California hires in Information), qwi.earns_us_31_33_s2aa04 (national monthly earnings of women aged 25-34 in manufacturing). Counts of jobs, ratios for rates, nominal dollars per month for earnings, quarterly, not seasonally adjusted, 1990 to the latest quarter. QWI is industry-based, not occupation-based; use cps_basic for occupations and the BLS payroll survey for seasonally adjusted employment levels.

In SQL, this dataset is the rows of census.series with dataset_code = 'qwi'.
