US job-to-job flows: hires, separations and earnings by state, industry and worker group (LEHD J2J)

Quarterly counts of hires and separations for the United States and every state, split by where the worker came from or went to: job-to-job moves between employers (EEHire/EESep with no nonemployment spell, AQHire/AQSep with a brief spell, J2JHire/J2JSep total), hires from nonemployment (NEHire, NEPersist, NEFullQ) and separations to nonemployment (ENSep, ENPersist, ENFullQ), all main-job hires and separations (MHire, MSep, MJobStart, MJobEnd), beginning- and end-of-quarter main-job employment (MainB, MainE), stable-job variants (suffix S) and average quarterly earnings at the origin job before or the destination job after a stable move (for example EEHireSEarn_Dest; released for states only). Broken down by NAICS sector, sex x age, sex x education, race x ethnicity, firm age and firm size (national), and by NAICS sector and sex x age (states). From the Census Bureau LEHD Job-to-Job Flows public-use files (state unemployment-insurance wage records), release R2026Q2, 2000-Q2 to 2025-Q2, unadjusted for all geographies and seasonally adjusted for the national cells. Persons (main jobs) and nominal dollars. Series ids: j2j.<measure>_<us|state>_<naics>_<group>[_sa], e.g. j2j.j2jhire_us_00_all_sa (US job-to-job hires, all industries, all workers, seasonally adjusted), j2j.eehire_ca_54_all (California, NAICS 54), j2j.nehire_us_00_s1aa04 (US, men aged 25-34). Suppressed cells (LEHD flag 5, disclosure protection) are left missing; the latest quarters are preliminary and revised each release. Not job openings; does not say why workers moved.
