UBS held its call for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026.

  • The chief executive said UBS remains on track for an exit-rate cost-income ratio, its costs as a share of its income, below 70%.
  • An executive said UBS expects gross cost reductions of around USD 13.7 billion (US dollars) by year-end, including USD 0.5 billion in the fourth quarter, after USD 13.2 billion had been delivered.

Sandoz narrowed its sales outlook and raised its margin outlook

  • The chief executive said Sandoz narrowed its fiscal year 2026 net sales growth guidance to 5%–6%. The chief financial officer said the earlier guidance was mid-to-high single-digit growth, and that the change reflects biosimilar supply constraints and more adverse German market dynamics.
  • The chief executive said Sandoz upgraded its fiscal year 2026 core earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margin guidance to 23%–23.5% of net sales. The chief financial officer said the fiscal year 2025 margin was 21.7%.

Straumann confirmed its 2026 outlook and midterm goal

  • An executive said the midterm compound annual growth rate (CAGR) guidance of 10% remains in place.
  • An executive said ClearCorrect is on track to reach break-even by the end of 2027, and that Straumann may launch Neodent in China by mid-2027.

About FactIQ and these updates

  • What FactIQ is. FactIQ is a database of official statistics from government agencies, central banks and international organisations in the US, China, India, Europe and elsewhere. AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT connect to it to look up the exact figures and cite the agency that published them. It also holds what companies report in their filings and say on their earnings calls.
  • How an update is made. FactIQ reads each new earnings call or filing and stores the statements with numbers, each with the exact quote it came from. An AI model then writes a short summary of those statements. Before it is published, code checks that every number in the summary matches a stored statement, and a second review checks that nothing is overstated or presented as fact when the company only expects it.
  • What this is not. The figures are what each company said or filed. FactIQ does not rate companies or recommend shares.
